Ingredients: Castor (Ricinus communis) oil. 

Product Information: Black Castor Oil is produced from the same plant as standard Castor oil. However, as the seeds are roasted before extraction, the oil has a dark burnt orange/reddish-brown colour with a stronger, more nutty aroma. The slight ash content of the oil is said to offer additional benefits for hair - especially for those with thicker or more curly hair types.

Ricinoleic acid is soluble in alcohol (but not water) and oil. It acts as a humectant and helps make Castor a 'dry' oil as well as increasing its viscosity.
